JVS Students Place at Regional Competition

Business Professionals of America (BPA) members from the Upper Valley JVS were honored for their efforts at Region 15 Competitive Events at an Awards Ceremony held at the school on Monday, February 7. Students from Upper Valley JVS, Springfield Clark CTC, Greene County Career Center, Tolles Career and Technical Center and school satellites participated in this competition. The top finishers in each event received a plaque and/or a medallion for their effort.

Upper Valley students took fifty-six top places in individual competitions and sixteen top spots in the team events. Thirty-three of the eligible competitors will compete at the state level in Columbus on March 17-18.

State contest participants will be joining over two thousand BPA members from 18 regions across the state to compete at the Hyatt Regency, Columbus, on March 17.  Awards will be presented on March 18 at 11:00 a.m. at the Grove City Church of the Nazarene.  Top winners will advance to national competition in Washington, DC, from May 4 - 8.
